Actor Dexter Darden has taken a significant step in his personal life by getting engaged! On December 9, the Fight Night star announced his engagement to Briah Nelson, a fitness instructor.

In a heartwarming series of posts shared on social media, Darden revealed the details of his proposal, which took place in a picturesque backyard setting. Friends captured the special moment, showcasing a beautifully arranged area adorned with an arch of red and white roses, a sign glowing with the words “Will you marry me?” along with a scenic backdrop of lush green hills and trees.

Briah Nelson looked stunning in a white sweater paired with red leather pants as she was clearly overcome with emotion, covering her face with her hands. Meanwhile, Darden, dressed in a white sweater and black pants, knelt down and presented a wooden ring box that held a sparkling diamond ring.

In a video shared by actor Iman Crosson, who was present at the engagement, Nelson expressed her gratitude, saying, “It has been such a ride this past year and a half, in the best way.”

“And I’m so grateful, not only for this man, but for all of you,” she continued, acknowledging the support from their friends and family. Darden echoed her sentiments, stating, “Everyone here has played a part in this union, in some way, shape or form, and it’s held us up through every trial and tribulation.”

Despite their generally private nature concerning their relationship, both Darden and Nelson have shared glimpses of their love on social media. In September, Nelson posted a series of photos from the premiere of Fight Night on her Instagram account, highlighting their supportive relationship by remarking, “When the man you prayed for becomes the man you pray with .” She expressed her excitement for Darden’s performance and encouraged her followers to watch the film available on Peacock.

Moreover, in July, she shared a touching video on Instagram that compiled moments spent together, captioning it with, “Steady love .” Additionally, she mentioned, “A man after God’s heart will know how to love yours. I love your love @dexterdarden .”

Interestingly, Darden was previously engaged to singer JoJo in 2021; however, their engagement ended shortly thereafter. Now, with his engagement to Briah Nelson, fans are eager to see what the future holds for the couple.
