McKenna Kelley Flaunts Wedding Ring After Dream Wedding

McKenna Kelley, daughter of Olympic gymnastics champion Mary Lou Retton, recently shared a glimpse of her new wedding ring, showcasing her marital bliss. On October 14, she posted a close-up photo of the ring on social media, following her nuptials with Braden Doughty on September 28.

The 27-year-old gymnast and educator highlighted her elegant dark red manicure while proudly displaying her wedding ring alongside a dazzling engagement ring adorned with three shimmering diamonds.

Kelley and Doughty exchanged vows at The Preserve at Canyon Lake in Texas, a venue that Kelley hailed as her “bridal dreams” come true. The couple just returned from their honeymoon in San José del Cabo, a picturesque destination located in Mexico’s Baja California.

Describing their wedding venue, Kelley recalled, “It’s a beautiful mansion-esque venue of white with exposed wooden beams, high ceilings, and tons of windows that look out onto a preserve.” She expressed that the locale provided the ideal backdrop for their elegant wedding theme.

The wedding’s décor featured a luxurious palette of greens, golds, and soft shades of pink, cream, and champagne, crafted by floral designer Cameron De Leon from The Petal Artist. The scene was further enhanced with lush greenery draped elegantly across the grand staircase.

Kelley first met Doughty during their time at Louisiana State University, where their relationship blossomed. “We were very collaborative,” she noted about their wedding preparations, emphasizing how both contributed ideas to make their special day unique.

To facilitate their planning, Kelley and Doughty enlisted the expertise of Scarlet Rose Events, working closely with coordinator Alexa Nagel. Kelley praised Nagel for her remarkable organizational skills and support in the lead-up to their wedding, stating, “She’s also been the best hype girl!”
