CLEVELAND (WJW) — Lottery enthusiasts in Northeast Ohio are buzzing with excitement following Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing, where a single ticket worth an astounding $112 million was sold in South Euclid, as reported by the Ohio Lottery.
The lucky ticket was purchased at the Giant Eagle location on Mayfield Road. The winning numbers drawn were 5-13-15-17-28, with the Mega Ball being 1.
The fortunate winner is reminded that they have up to 180 days to claim their prize. They can select between a lifelong annuity, which pays out over 30 years, or opt for a lump sum cash payment of $49.3 million.
This substantial jackpot signifies the first winning ticket since the recent update to the Mega Millions game that started on April 5.
