Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh are set to star in the upcoming romantic comedy, Mere Husband Ki Biwi. The film’s trailer, released recently, hints at a blend of chaos and humor that audiences can expect. This will mark the first on-screen collaboration of these actors, generating significant anticipation among fans.
The film will subsequently be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Viewers who miss the theatrical release will have the opportunity to experience the film from the comfort of their homes, although the specific date for its digital premiere has yet to be announced.
In the trailer, audiences are given a sneak peek into the comedic turmoil that ensues as Arjun Kapoor’s character, Ankur, navigates the complexities of his relationships with his ex-wife, portrayed by Bhumi Pednekar, and his fiancée, played by Rakul Preet Singh. The trailer also contained humorous nods to Arjun’s past character, Danger Lanka, from Singham Again. The logline reveals that the film is characterized as a “hilarious and heartwarming modern-day romance set in Delhi,” where unexpected twists leave Ankur in a chaotic predicament, caught between rekindled feelings for Antara and surprising developments involving Prabhleen.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Mere Husband Ki Biwi boasts a supporting cast that includes Aditya Seal, Dino Morea, and Harsh Gujral. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh under the banner of Pooja Entertainment. The film is slated for theatrical release on February 21.
Looking ahead, Rakul Preet Singh is set to appear in De De Pyaar De 2, with Anshul Sharma directing this sequel. Bhumi Pednekar will take on the role of a cop in her next project, Daldal, which is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime Video next year. Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor made headlines last year for his role as the antagonist in Singham Again, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
