Tattoo Regrets After Nuggets Firing???
Artist Offers Cover-Up!!!

Following his unexpected termination as head coach of the Denver Nuggets, Michael Malone may have some second thoughts regarding the tattoo he had commemorating the team’s championship triumph. The tattoo artist responsible for the ink, Mike Diaz of Triple W Tattoos, has expressed his willingness to assist Malone should he choose to have it covered up.
Malone famously had the Maxie the Miner design etched onto his shoulder after leading the Nuggets to their first NBA title in June 2023. Now, with the recent firing, the fate of this personal memento hangs in the balance. Diaz mentioned that while he hopes Malone will cherish the tattoo as a significant memory, he would be prepared to help with a cover-up if that’s the direction the former coach wants to take.
To date, there has been no sign that Malone is eager to part ways with the artwork. Diaz noted that he has not heard from anyone affiliated with Malone regarding any potential cover-up requests. However, given the abrupt nature of Malone’s dismissal from the team, which came just weeks before the playoffs, the possibility can’t be ruled out entirely.
In recent reports, it was highlighted that Malone had been with the Nuggets for ten years before his departure, despite the team holding a respectable 47-32 record at the time. This situation raises questions not only about the team’s future but also how Malone will cope with the changes surrounding his career.
Should Malone decide to remove or alter his tattoo, the design could still find a home among other Nuggets enthusiasts. Diaz has stated he’s willing to recreate the tattoo for fans at a promotional price of $52.80, echoing a similar offer made during the team’s championship celebration in 2023.
