Michele Morrone Shares Insights on “Another Simple Favor”
Michele Morrone recently spoke with “Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi during the New York City premiere of “Another Simple Favor.”
Reflecting on filming in his native Italy, Morrone expressed a deep sense of comfort and belonging: “I felt at home. I felt safe, especially with wonderful people around me who taught me so much. The first is Paul Feig, an exceptional human being—elegant in both his appearance and his heart. I spent some of the most beautiful moments of my life working on this film.”
Joining the sequel alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, who previously starred together in “A Simple Favor,” Morrone shared his initial apprehension about collaborating with experienced actors. “I didn’t know them, so I was a little nervous. But when I arrived on set, they were incredibly kind, making me feel instantly comfortable. It was reassuring since they are such talented actresses with extensive careers.”
The chemistry among the trio flourished during production, with Morrone stating, “We’re such good friends with each other.” He also took pleasure in assisting Lively and Kendrick with some Italian dialogue. “I had a lot of fun trying to teach Italian to Blake. It was hilarious to see them act in Italian; I struggled not to laugh, and she started laughing too,” he noted.
The actor continued, “I was often translating for them because they had to deliver lines in Italian, and I always wanted to help.”
Collaboration with Paul Feig
Morrone expressed enthusiasm for reuniting with director Paul Feig on the upcoming film “The Housemaid,” a cinematic adaptation of a popular book. “I feel incredibly fortunate. I am thrilled that Paul invited me to join this project. It boasts an excellent cast, including Amanda Seyfried, Sydney Sweeney, and Brandon Sklenar. We formed a meaningful bond and work exceptionally well together, given our similar ages and the fun we’re having.”
“Another Simple Favor” is set to premiere on Prime Video on May 1.
