Congratulations are in order for Mick Jagger and his long-term partner, Melanie Hamrick, who have officially announced their engagement.
Hamrick shared the news with Paris Match, disclosing that she has been engaged to the iconic Rolling Stones frontman for the past “two or three years.” When asked about the prospect of marriage, she stated, “Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything.”
Hamrick and Jagger, who began their relationship in 2014, share a connection that has developed gradually. Hamrick, a former ballerina associated with the American Ballet Theatre, met Jagger in Japan. At the time, he was still involved with the late designer and model L’Wren Scott. Hamrick reminisced, “We didn’t even exchange phone numbers. Although I wasn’t in a relationship, he was then.”
