The Enduring Friendship of Mohanlal and Mammootty
Renowned actors Mohanlal and Mammootty have not only dominated the Malayalam film scene since the late 1980s but have also forged a deep and enduring friendship that resonates with fans. Their collaborative efforts in films such as Narasimham, Harikrishnans, and No.20 Madras Mail have showcased their on-screen chemistry, while their mutual support off-screen highlights the strength of their bond. Recently, Mohanlal exemplified this camaraderie by offering prayers for Mammootty during his visit to the revered Sabarimala temple.
Mohanlal made this pilgrimage to Sabarimala to seek blessings from Lord Ayyappan ahead of the release of his highly anticipated film, Empuraan. Videos circulating on social media show Mohanlal engaging in various temple rituals, including the kettunirakkal ceremony, where he began his trek towards the holy shrine, warmly greeted by temple officials.
It is reported that the actor plans to fulfill the Neyyabhishekam ritual before departing the hill temple, further emphasizing his spiritual commitment.
