Warner Bros. Discovery Hosts Annual “Say Yes to the Prom” Events Across Major Cities
Warner Bros. Discovery has recently organized its beloved “Say Yes to the Prom” events in cities including Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles, providing memorable experiences for students preparing for their prom nights.
During the Los Angeles event, attended by “Extra,” participants received tailored fashion advice from Monte Durham, known for his role in “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta.” WBD employees collaborated with local retailers, such as Macy’s and Men’s Wearhouse, to assist 500 deserving teens in personalizing their prom outfits. The students also enjoyed individual styling sessions to help them achieve their dream looks.
Monte highlighted his philosophy on fashion, stating, “I always say there are three Fs to fashion: you want to find the fit, you want to find the fabric, and is it fashionable enough?” His insight reflects a commitment to helping teens express their individuality while feeling confident in their attire.
Durham also noted the distinct preferences of teenagers regarding their clothing choices, emphasizing their strong opinions on what they wish to wear.
Dennis Williams, Senior Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility at Warner Bros. Discovery, expressed his enthusiasm for the event’s legacy and its impact on the community. “It’s one of the best events of the year for us. You can’t help but feel the excitement. It’s electric when these kids come in… We are providing this opportunity for them to look good and feel good at a very important time — prom,” he remarked.
Celebrating its 13th anniversary, Williams shared the growth of the initiative, stating, “We started out small, and now we’re in three cities helping thousands of kids across the country go to prom… It’s only going to get bigger.”
This year, the program has also extended its support to students affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles, assisting them in achieving a positive conclusion to their high school experience.
