Morgan Wallen made a return to Saturday Night Live, showcasing two tracks from his upcoming album during the March 29 episode.
The 31-year-old country music artist appeared for the second time as the musical guest, sharing the stage with host Mikey Madison, a recent Academy Award winner for her performance in Anora.
Wallen kicked off his set dressed casually in a denim jacket, blue jeans, and a baseball cap, presenting the title track of his fourth studio album, I’m the Problem. Accompanied by a full band, his energetic rendition featured a stage design that included scrapbook-like visuals highlighting his journey and achievements, complementing the song’s current position in the top 10 of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.

Wallen returned later in the program to deliver a heartfelt performance of “Just in Case.” This segment featured a more subdued atmosphere, with dim lighting and a vintage television set displaying “Morgan Wallen Broadcast Corp,” which underscored the emotional weight of the song, reflecting themes of heartbreak.
This recent performance marks Wallen’s second stint on SNL, with his original appearance taking place in December 2020, where he performed hits “7 Summers” and “Still Goin Down” from his acclaimed album Dangerous: The Double Album.
The new album, I’m the Problem, is anticipated for release on May 16, and follows the success of his previous records, including 2021’s Dangerous: The Double Album, which enjoyed ten weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and One Thing at a Time from 2023, which dominated for a remarkable 19 weeks.
In the lead-up to the launch of I’m the Problem, Wallen has revealed several tracks from the album, including the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Love Somebody,” along with “Lies Lies Lies” and “Smile.”
This episode of SNL followed Lady Gaga’s appearance on March 8, where she took the dual role of host and musical guest. Throughout season 50, various notable artists have performed, including Tate McRae, GloRilla, Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Shaboozey, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish. Upcoming episodes will feature performances by Lizzo, Elton John, and Brandi Carlile, hosted by Jon Hamm and Jack Black.
