Investigation Underway After Woman Goes Missing, Boyfriend Arrested

A man has been arrested following the mysterious disappearance of his girlfriend, Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, 23, who was last seen on March 31 in Waldorf, Maryland. Authorities discovered troubling evidence in their shared home, including counterfeit documents regarding the man’s identity.

According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, Guerra was reported missing by her boyfriend on Wednesday, April 2. This report came shortly after detectives identified “unusual and suspicious” activities at their residence the day after her last sighting.

When investigators executed a search warrant at the home, they could not find Guerra. However, they noted that a family vehicle, considered significant to the case, was present at the residence at the time she was reported missing.

As the investigation has progressed, authorities have expressed concerns about potential foul play in Guerra’s disappearance. The sheriff’s office has indicated that relevant information gathered during the investigation points to this possibility.

Further complicating the situation, investigators uncovered counterfeit federal documents belonging to Guerra’s boyfriend, who remains unnamed. The sheriff’s office stated that immigration authorities classified these documents as fraudulent, revealing that he lacked legal status in the country.

The boyfriend, who shares two children with Guerra, is now in custody due to these immigration issues.

Authorities are actively seeking information from the public regarding Guerra’s whereabouts. They request anyone who may have seen the Toyota 4Runner, believed to be involved in the case, between March 31 and April 2, particularly in remote or isolated areas, to come forward. Tips can be directed to Detective Burgess at 301-609-6494 or submitted anonymously through Charles County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
