Marc Marquez Secures Victory at Argentina Grand Prix
Marc Marquez has kicked off the 2025 MotoGP season in impressive fashion, achieving consecutive wins with a triumph at the Argentina Grand Prix. This latest victory marks a significant milestone for the six-time world champion who continues to showcase his dominant racing skills.
Following his victory, Marquez once again outperformed his brother Alex, marking the second race in a row where family rivalry took center stage. In addition to his main race win, Marc also clinched the sprint race earlier in the weekend, reinforcing his competitive edge.
Starting from a formidable 96th pole position at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, Marquez found himself in a challenging race where he initially trailed Alex. However, his resilience shone through as he fought back to claim his 90th career win, placing him alongside the legendary Angel Nieto for all-time victories, with only Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi above him in the charts.
Having made a seamless transition to Ducati, the 32-year-old racer finished the race with a strong lead of 1.362 seconds ahead of his brother, while Italian Franco Morbidelli secured the third podium position.
Currently, Marc Marquez leads the riders’ championship with a notable sum of 74 points. This robust start sets the stage for his pursuit of his first world title since 2019, putting him in a position to match Valentino Rossi’s remarkable achievement of seven world championships.
The excitement continues as the MotoGP season heads to the next race, the Grand Prix of the Americas, scheduled to take place on Sunday, 30 March, at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin.
