It’s widely recognized that Motorola is gearing up for significant updates to its Edge and Razr product lines, with one of the new models expected to be announced shortly. While the company has been relatively tight-lipped about details surrounding its “most durable Edge phone,” it’s become clear that the Edge 60 Fusion will soon be revealed. Recent leaks have provided almost complete information about this visually striking mid-range smartphone, which is set to boast IP68 “underwater protection” alongside an impressive IP69 rating for “high-pressure water jets.”

Exceptional Durability and Features

The distinctions between IP68 and IP69 are noteworthy. While many premium smartphones today meet the IP68 standard, the IP69 rating is rarely found in mainstream devices, making it a significant feature for the Edge 60 Fusion. This suggests that the upcoming phone will excel in durability, likely surpassing most competitors within its price range. Users can expect it to handle not only dust and exposure to water but also endure challenging conditions such as high humidity often found in saunas.

There’s a strong possibility that the Edge 60 Fusion will meet military-grade standards for resilience against various elements like salt and vibrations, although this has yet to be confirmed by Motorola. The branding of “most durable Edge phone” hints at its robust design.

The manufacturer has also teased that the device will deliver “the segment’s best AI experience” and feature an aggressively curved display with the capability to produce “100% true colors,” enhancing both the visual appeal and functionality of the device.

Anticipated Specifications

The anticipated specifications for the Edge 60 Fusion suggest a robust performance profile, including a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, a dual rear-facing camera setup featuring a 50MP and 13MP configuration, and a 32MP front camera. Additionally, it is rumored to include a substantial 5,500mAh battery and a sizable 6.7-inch AMOLED screen equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate. Other details regarding charging speeds, storage options, and memory configurations remain undisclosed, but expectations are high based on Motorola’s previous offerings.

Recent leaks depict the Edge 60 Fusion as visually appealing in various colors, hinting at its aesthetic appeal.

While the precise pricing has yet to be unveiled, projections suggest that in India, the Edge 60 Fusion may launch at a price similar to previous models, likely around Rs. 25,999, translating to approximately $300. However, there appears to be limited potential for a U.S. release. On a positive note, the Edge 60 range is expected to include multiple variants, such as a standard Edge 60, a more advanced Edge 60 Pro, and an Edge 60 Stylus, with the prospect of some models hitting U.S. shores in the future.

Motorola enthusiasts can also anticipate the upcoming Razr 60 foldable series, which is expected to introduce two models, designated as Razr (2025) and Razr Plus (2025). Overall, Motorola seems to have a busy lineup prepared for global consumers, though the absence of a comprehensive launch for a phone as promising as the Edge 60 Fusion is somewhat disappointing.
