The Bhootnii, featuring Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, and others, will hit theaters on May 1, 2025.
Mouni Roy portrays a ghost named Mohabbat in The Bhootnii.
Actress Mouni Roy is preparing for the imminent launch of her horror-comedy film, ‘The Bhootnii,’ which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Singh. As the release date approaches, the cast is actively engaging in promotional activities. Recently, Mouni shared behind-the-scenes glimpses via her Instagram, detailing her experience of being suspended in a harness for extended hours. She noted that the initial difficulties with the harness eventually gave way to a newfound ease as the days progressed.
In The Bhootnii, Mouni takes on the role of a ghost called ‘Mohabbat.’ Her posts from the set showcase her being lifted off the ground, including a video that captures her appearing to float. Another clip provides a glimpse of an aerial stunt, where she is depicted in a confrontation with Sanjay Dutt’s character. Mouni humorously remarked that they “literally hung out” amidst the trees each night, stating, “For 45 nights, I danced with gravity, spending 10 to 11 hours with my harness—initially reluctant companions who eventually found their groove. Now it supports me more than fate and elevates me beyond caffeine!”
She added, “P.S. We literally spent all night among the treetops.”
In a playful closing remark, she encouraged audiences to watch #TheBhootni in theaters on the first of May, joking, “or else I’ll haunt you forever.”
Mouni’s friends from the industry, including actress Disha Patani, expressed their enthusiasm in the comments, with Disha stating, “Can’t waitttt,” accompanied by fire emojis, while Krishna Shroff, sister of Tiger Shroff, echoed support with, “Woohoo!” Fan responses also reflected excitement, remarking, “The queen of darkness is back” and “Can’t wait to see Mohabbat.”
Written and directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, The Bhootnii is produced by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay Dutt. The film’s lineup includes Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari, Sunny Singh, Aasif Khan, and YouTuber Beyounick. Mark your calendars for its theatrical release on May 1, 2025.
