MSC Cruises Unveils Unique Dining Experience Aboard MSC World America

MSC Cruises has made waves in the cruising industry with the announcement of its latest flagship, the MSC World America, set to debut next year. This vessel promises to stand out not only for its size and amenities but also for its exclusive dining offerings, featuring the first-ever Eataly restaurant located at sea.

On Wednesday, the cruise line revealed that the MSC World America will host this celebrated Italian dining brand, providing guests a unique culinary experience that emphasizes the brand’s commitment to authenticity and quality. “Our focus is on delivering unique and memorable gastronomic experiences as we continually explore partnerships with top culinary talents,” said Stéphane Franchini, the senior director of food and beverage products at MSC Cruises.

With the incorporation of Eataly, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a diverse menu featuring both beloved Italian classics and exclusive dishes crafted specifically for the ship. All of these offerings will utilize high-quality ingredients sourced directly from Italy. Franchini noted, “The essence of our menu can be summed up with one word: ‘fresh.’ We aim to meet our guests’ desires for vibrant culinary choices by ensuring that everything is made from the freshest ingredients.”

While MSC Cruises has kept specific menu items under wraps, Franchini hinted at some enticing creations, including exclusive “basil-forward dishes and cocktails.” He emphasized that guests should look out for the Mandilli al Pesto, a dish featuring delicately layered pasta infused with robust basil flavor, alongside Eataly’s renowned Tiramisu.

Apart from the rich offerings of Eataly, the dining experience will be enhanced by an open kitchen layout, where select meals will be prepared tableside, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. Franchini expressed pride in this partnership, remarking, “Our strong European roots inform our culinary philosophy, and Eataly exemplifies the artistry of authentic Italian cuisine. Together, we’re excited to present an unforgettable dining experience exclusively for our guests onboard.”

In addition to the Eataly experience, MSC World America will feature five other unique dining venues, including Kaito Sushi Bar and Teppanyaki, Hola! Tacos & Cantina, and Paxos Restaurant. Franchini highlighted Paxos for its seafood-centric menu, which includes a fresh fish counter where guests can select their meal, allowing for a truly global tasting adventure as they cruise the seas.
