Munawar Faruqui’s Reaction to Fan’s Comment About His Ex-Girlfriend at ECLT10 Match
Comedian Munawar Faruqui, recognized for his humor, displayed a different side when confronted by a fan during an ECLT10 match. The situation escalated when the fan mentioned Nazila, Faruqui’s former girlfriend, prompting an intense reaction from the reality show winner.
Faruqui, who made headlines as the winner of Bigg Boss 17, found himself in a heated moment when a spectator shouted out Nazila’s name while he was walking off the pitch, inquiring about her well-being. This unexpected comment clearly caught Faruqui off guard.
In a now-viral video, the fan’s question, “Nazila kaisi hai?” (How is Nazila?), provoked an immediate and furious response from the comedian. Footage shows him storming toward the individual, issuing a challenge that indicated he was not amused by the remark.
“Idhar aa ja… Tu idhar aa ja na, batata hoon,” he could be heard saying, which translates to, “Come here… I’ll show you.” Fortunately, ground staff were quick to intervene, guiding Faruqui away to prevent any further escalation of the situation.
The scene has elicited various reactions on social media, with many commentators highlighting that he appeared visibly agitated by the mere mention of Nazila.
For context, Munawar’s past relationship with Nazila has been marked by controversy. He faced accusations of infidelity, allegedly juggling his relationship with both Nazila and actress Ayesha Khan simultaneously. These allegations intensified during Ayesha’s entrance as a wildcard contestant in Bigg Boss 16, where she claimed that Faruqui proposed to Nazila prior to the show but later misrepresented his relationship status to the audience.
In a surprising turn of events, Faruqui recently married makeup artist Mehzabeen Coatwala in May 2024. Mehzabeen, a mother to an 11-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, joins Faruqui, who also has a seven-year-old son named Mikael from his earlier marriage to Jasmine.
