When people express their dislike for Bangkok and mention not finding much to do, I can empathize. It’s a city that often polarizes opinion on first impressions.
My own introduction to Bangkok in 2006 was far from love; I couldn’t wait to leave. It wasn’t until I lived there that the city truly captivated me.
Nearly two decades on, it remains one of my favorite cities globally. It’s a place that requires time to appreciate.
Bangkok doesn’t immediately reveal its charms, and many visitors spend just a fleeting day or two before heading to the more tranquil islands or jungles. Yet, the city offers a plethora of attractions, ranging from budget-friendly to luxurious, unique to outdoor adventures. In essence, Bangkok has a slice of everything.
This itinerary is designed to help you navigate Bangkok effectively, striking a balance between popular attractions and hidden gems, so you can peel back the layers of this enigmatic city and discover why it has become one of my beloved destinations.
