Nagarjuna Initiated the First Meeting Between Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala
Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya are set to tie the knot on December 4.
In a recent interview, Nagarjuna shared insights into how he facilitated the initial meeting between his son Naga Chaitanya and actress Sobhita Dhulipala, who is soon to be his daughter-in-law. As confirmed through a leaked wedding invitation, the couple plans to marry in just a few weeks. Nagarjuna, reflecting on their journey, described how he played a pivotal role in bringing them together.
While talking to the Times of India, Nagarjuna expressed his admiration for Sobhita’s acting abilities, particularly her role in the 2018 movie Goodachari. Impressed with her talent, he reached out to her, inviting her to his home in Hyderabad for an in-depth conversation. “When she visited next, we had enriching conversations that explored not just cinema but life itself. It was during one of these visits that my son Chaitanya happened to walk in, marking their very first encounter,” he recalled.
Nagarjuna praised Sobhita for her dedication to her craft and her journey from Visakhapatnam, emphasizing her authenticity and approachability. “She has worked tirelessly to fulfill her aspirations while maintaining her values. She’s a phenomenal actress and possesses a genuine warmth that makes her truly special,” he remarked.
Furthermore, in discussions with The New Indian Express, Nagarjuna noted Sobhita’s individuality, stating, “She is a wonderful person, choosing to live life according to her principles.” He elaborated on her career choices, acknowledging her ability to be selective about the projects she undertakes, thereby cultivating a peaceful and fulfilling professional life. “The positive energy between them is palpable, and I’m delighted to witness their joy,” he added.
The couple, who became engaged in August, is expected to hold their wedding ceremony at Annapurna Studios, a venue owned by Nagarjuna. Sobhita has kicked off her pre-wedding festivities in Visakhapatnam, sharing glimpses from her traditional Godhuma Raayi Pasupu Danchatam ceremony. They have also been spotted together at various events, including the ANR National Awards 2024, where Nagarjuna introduced Sobhita to prominent attendees such as Chiranjeevi.
It is worth noting that Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Their marriage ended in October 2021 after four years, with the divorce finalized in the subsequent year.
