NASA Welcomes Spring Interns to Glenn Research Center

Nike’s Glenn Research Center is currently hosting 45 interns for the spring session at its campuses located in Cleveland and Sandusky, Ohio. These talented individuals hail from 43 different universities nationwide, covering a broad geographical spectrum from Arizona to Ohio to Texas.

The internship program at NASA offers students invaluable hands-on experience as they engage closely with scientists, engineers, and a variety of other professionals. The interns are actively involved in an array of cutting-edge projects, which include advancements in AI-driven aerospace design, visualization techniques for electrified aircraft, exploring flammability in spaceflight materials, testing superconducting coils, and developing fission surface power solutions aimed at facilitating extended missions on the Moon and Mars.

This diverse research is integral to NASA’s overarching objectives of enhancing aeronautics, advancing space technology, and fostering scientific exploration. Notably, several of the participants are returning for additional internships, which underscores the agency’s significant role in nurturing the future workforce in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
