Natti Natasha has achieved a significant milestone by reaching the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart with her solo single “Desde Hoy.” This marks her first time topping the chart independently, and it has achieved this feat during the week dated April 19. This victory is particularly meaningful as it is her first time at the top in over five years.

“Desde Hoy” has not only made it to the top spot but has also earned the “Greatest Gainer” honor for the week, with a remarkable 9% increase in audience impressions, translating to an additional 6.6 million listeners in the United States for the tracking week of April 4-10, as reported by Luminate. The song serves as the lead track from Natti Natasha’s fourth studio album, Natti Natasha En Amargue, which recently made its debut on the Tropical Albums chart, peaking at No. 6 on the February 22 dated list.

This new No. 1 is a significant comeback for Natti Natasha, as her last chart-topping single was “La Mejor Versión de Mí,” a collaboration with Romeo Santos that spent an impressive 15 weeks at No. 1 between 2019 and 2020. Before that, she also had a week-long reign with her featured appearance on Don Omar’s “Dutty Love” in 2019.

With “Desde Hoy” reaching the pinnacle of the Tropical Airplay chart, Natti Natasha joins a select group of female solo artists who have achieved this distinction in the 2020s. Rosalía’s “Despechá” topped the chart for four weeks in 2022, and Karol G made headlines with “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” which dominated for 31 weeks, breaking the previous record of 29 weeks held by Prince Royce’s “Carita de Inocente.”

In light of her success, it is worth reflecting on the remarkable female artists who have led the Tropical Airplay chart this decade, whether through solo performances or collaborations:
