Celebrating Family: Navya Nanda Honors Jaya Bachchan’s 77th Birthday
Navya Nanda, an emerging voice in the world of podcasts and entrepreneurship, recently took to social media to recognize a significant milestone: the 77th birthday of her grandmother, the celebrated actress Jaya Bachchan. In a heartfelt gesture, Navya shared a candid photograph on her Instagram Stories, capturing a moment where both women faced each other, radiating warmth and affection. Navya donned a vibrant yellow suit, complementing Jaya’s elegant ivory saree. In her post, she sweetly captioned, “Happy Birthday Nani.”
The bond between Navya and Jaya is notable, characterized by mutual support and shared experiences. Jaya Bachchan frequently appears as a guest on Navya’s podcast and is often spotted accompanying her on various outings. Earlier this year, the trio—Navya, her mother Shweta Bachchan, and grandmother Jaya—embarked on a memorable trip to the Rann of Kutch, showcasing their close-knit family dynamic.
On Jaya’s birthday eve, the family was seen at the airport, preparing for a getaway. Navya was accompanied by her uncle Abhishek Bachchan, who opted for a casual look with a beige jacket paired with a white hoodie and black sweatpants. Jaya opted for a relaxed ensemble consisting of a blue denim shirt and black leggings, while Navya showcased her new hairstyle, complemented by black-rimmed spectacles and a stylish striped white-and-black sweater, finished with striking red sneakers.
Despite her connection to one of Bollywood’s most illustrious families, Navya has taken a distinctive path, aligning more with her father’s entrepreneurial spirit. A graduate of Fordham University, she is the founder of Project Naveli, aimed at addressing gender inequality in India. Additionally, she is a co-founder of Aara Health, a health tech startup focused on women’s health issues. Recently, she expanded her academic journey by enrolling in the renowned Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad for a Blended Post Graduate Programme in MBA.
Navya’s podcast, What The Hell Navya, has gained popularity, with two successful seasons featuring candid discussions among the three generations of Bachchan women. They explore various themes surrounding love, life, and the challenges faced by women today, providing listeners with unique insights and the rich tapestry of their lives.
