There’s no better time than now to dive into a series of classic Alfred Hitchcock films. Netflix is gearing up to make several of the iconic director’s works more accessible for fans and newcomers alike.
In an exciting announcement today, Netflix revealed plans to feature a collection of Hitchcock’s films starting next month, celebrating his significant contributions to the world of cinema. Beginning June 1st, subscribers will have the opportunity to enjoy acclaimed titles such as Vertigo, Rear Window, Frenzy, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Family Plot, and The Birds. Additionally, the showcase will spotlight films from other directors influenced by Hitchcock, including Jordan Peele’s Us and Zach Cregger’s Barbarian.
For those who prefer the cinematic experience, Netflix is collaborating with the Paris Theater in New York City to host “HITCH! The Original Cinema Influencer.” This six-week screening series aims to explore Hitchcock’s evolving filmmaking techniques and his lasting impact on cultural landscape. The screenings will take place from May 16th to June 29th, and tickets are currently available for purchase.
