Recently, OnePlus unveiled the second beta update for Android 16 aimed specifically at the OnePlus 13. While the official community announcement detailed some of the known issues associated with this update, it omitted a noteworthy feature that has caught users’ attention.

Discovered by a community-driven Telegram channel focused on OnePlus system applications, the Android 16 beta 2 introduces a new feature that allows users to customize their battery charging limits. This enhancement permits users to set charging thresholds that range from 80% to 100%, moving away from the earlier fixed limit of 80%.
That said, the feature does not offer complete flexibility. Users will choose from five predefined options: 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, and 100%. The inclusion of a 100% option raises some questions, as users who prefer a full charge might not need to impose any restrictions on their battery charging. It’s plausible that OnePlus may reconsider the necessity of this option in future updates.
For those testing out the Android 16 beta 2, adjusting these settings is straightforward. Users can access the feature through the Settings menu by navigating to Battery > Battery health and toggling the “Charging limit” option to select their desired limit.
