One UI 7 Beta Update Delayed to December with Enhanced Features
The anticipated One UI 7 beta update, which many expected to arrive last week, is now projected to be released in December. While this delay has raised concerns, it appears that Samsung is focusing on refining the user experience with this latest version.
Recent leaks, including a video from the well-known tipster Ice Universe (shared via Jukanlosreve on X), showcase impressive advancements in animations and a revamped Quick Panel within One UI 7. Key changes are expected to include a clearer distinction between notifications and quick settings, enhancing the overall accessibility of these features.
The new Quick Panel resembles the design elements commonly found in iOS, featuring quick settings organized in bubbles. The top section includes prominently marked bubbles for adjusting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings swiftly, while additional options such as airplane mode, location services, and the flashlight are represented as unmarked icons below. Users will likely have the capability to customize these settings, although it remains uncertain if they will also have the ability to resize or rearrange controls similarly to iOS 18.
While some may view Samsung’s adoption of iOS design principles as controversial, it could offer significant benefits. By adopting this more streamlined layout, users may experience a less cluttered interface that allows for greater control over settings without needing to navigate through various menus. The faster animations are anticipated to enhance the fluidity of interactions, although performance may vary across different Galaxy models.
In addition to the Quick Panel changes, One UI 7 is expected to incorporate various iOS-inspired features. These may include redesigned icons, new lock screen widgets, a NowBar for live activities similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, and a modernized media player for the lock screen.
As the release date approaches, Samsung enthusiasts remain hopeful that these enhancements will deliver a more intuitive and visually appealing user experience.
