New Insights into the Rumored DJI Flip Folding Drone

Recently, fresh images showcasing the anticipated DJI Flip folding drone emerged, depicting the lightweight and compact design in both its folded and unfolded states, as well as inside a convenient carrying case. These visuals were shared in a series of posts by Igor Bogdanov, an individual known for previously providing reliable leaks about DJI products.

In addition to the new imagery, Bogdanov indicated that DJI is also set to introduce a Cellular Dongle 2 module designed specifically for the Flip drone. This latest information complements earlier leaks, which included details on ND filters, propeller sets, and a rapid charging hub capable of charging two batteries within 45 minutes using a 65W parallel charger.

The array of images released includes a glimpse of the drone’s front screen. Notably, drone leaker Jasper Ellens highlighted that the interface displays all the hands-free Quickshots familiar to users of the Neo model.

Ellens also shared a brief video of the Flip, revealing that its registration numbers categorize it within DJI’s FPV (First-Person View) drone segment. This classification could enable users to stream video directly during flight. Earlier in December, he disclosed additional specifics, including the drone’s innovative folding mechanism and a projected flight duration of approximately 30 minutes, made possible by a battery that surpasses the capacity of the battery found in DJI’s Neo selfie drone.
