New Music Venue Night Club 101 to Open in Historic Pyramid Club
The creative team behind the beloved Brooklyn venue Baby’s All Right is set to launch a new music venue within New York City’s iconic Pyramid Club. Night Club 101 is scheduled to open its doors in the East Village early next year, with a preview event in collaboration with Pitchfork on Thursday, December 19. This special night will showcase a lineup of artists including RP Boo, Dazegxd b2b Intimacy Simulator, Anysia Kym, DJ Ess, Alphonse Pierre, and Mano, and is presented by AdHoc. Tickets for the event can be found here. Doors will open at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, with performances commencing at 10 p.m. EST.
Situated at 101 Avenue A, Night Club 101 promises a diverse range of live performances and DJ sets, showcasing artists from various genres including indie rock, jazz, electronic, and experimental music. The venue’s programming will also feature art exhibitions, themed dance events, multi-disciplinary performances, and community-oriented activities, enhancing its appeal to a broad audience.
Billy Jones and Tom Moore will lead the efforts to establish this new space, building on their previous success with Baby’s All Right, as well as former venues like Elvis Guesthouse and The Dance. In a fitting tribute to the Pyramid Club’s legacy, which has served as a vital hub for New York’s underground art, fashion, and LGBTQ+ scenes for over three decades, the duo aims to create an environment that honors its history while embracing innovation. The club has been a launching pad for many influential artists, with iconic performances by the likes of Madonna, RuPaul, and AHNONI.
Jones expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “This space holds so much history, and we’re excited to pay homage to its incredible legacy of course. But at the same time, we always want to push the conversation forward—creating a space that feels alive, surprising, and refreshingly open to the experimental play that makes New York City, New York City and the reason I moved here 23 years ago.”
