Nick Cannon Eyes More Fatherhood Despite 12 Kids

Nick Cannon, already a father to 12 children, is expressing a desire for even more. In a recent episode of his We Playin’ Spades podcast aired on March 17, Cannon discussed his thoughts on the possibility of getting a vasectomy and indicated he is unlikely to take that step. He emphasized his hope for his family to grow further.

The discussion around vasectomies arose when podcast guests Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder shared their own experiences with the procedure. They playfully challenged Cannon about not having undergone the same despite his extensive family, to which Cannon acknowledged that opting for a vasectomy might indeed be “the responsible thing to do.”

However, Cannon quickly followed up with his perspective on the matter: “I’m just — I’m not done,” he laughed, referencing his ongoing journey as a parent.

The acclaimed entertainer’s children come from different relationships—his first two children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, were born during his marriage to pop diva Mariah Carey. He has since welcomed additional children with various partners, including Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen, and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell; Zion Mixolydian, Zillion Heir, and Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; as well as Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi, Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole, and Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott. Tragically, he also lost a son, Zen, to brain cancer when the boy was just five months old.

Despite the incredulity shared by his podcast guests regarding the desire for more children, Cannon maintained a straightforward view: “Why not?” His co-host Courtney Bee prompted him to clarify if his goal involved expanding with mothers of his children or if he was open to new relationships, to which he responded, “I leave it to the Lord.”

To see Cannon’s insights on fatherhood and the discussion around vasectomies, listeners can catch the full segment on We Playin’ Spades.
