An incident in Asheville, North Carolina, has led to the arrest of a man following an alleged armed robbery linked to a cinnamon bun theft. Authorities state that 33-year-old Jeffrey Dewayne Bradburn was taken into custody after the incident unfolded at a local grocery store.
The Asheville Police Department reported that officers responded promptly to a call indicating an armed robbery around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. According to a press release, store employees described how Bradburn had stolen not only a cinnamon bun but also incense, all while brandishing a machete.

When confronted by a store employee regarding the theft, it is alleged that Bradburn revealed the machete and fled the scene on foot. Police quickly initiated a search of the vicinity, which led to the discovery of a man matching Bradburn’s description who was seen consuming a cinnamon bun.
