Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated remake of Nosferatu is set to become available for streaming imminently.
Peacock has announced that the film is scheduled to stream starting February 21st. Featuring notable performances from Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, and Bill Skarsgård, the platform will offer both the standard theatrical cut and an extended edition that was previously exclusive to DVD and Blu-ray releases, as well as certain digital purchase options available online.
According to Deadline, Nosferatu emerged as one of Focus Features’ standout projects last year, grossing an impressive $95.4 million in the U.S. and a total of $175.9 million worldwide. This success, however, did not prevent the studio from expediting its digital release, allowing audiences to download the film less than a month following its initial theatrical launch—a trend that seems to be increasingly common in the industry. Nonetheless, it is interesting to note that Nosferatu will be available for streaming just after Valentine’s Day, tying into its dual themes of romance and horror.
