What you need to know
Nothing is preparing to launch its Phone 3 during the third quarter of 2025. CEO Carl Pei has verified that the Phone 3 will officially debut in the U.S., moving beyond the limitations of the beta program. This announcement suggests that the new model will be fully compatible with major U.S. cellular networks and carriers.
Nothing’s relationship with the U.S. market has been complex. While the company has successfully sold its flagship devices in the region, many other phones have only been available through a restricted Nothing Beta Program that lacks official network support. This scenario has limited their recent models, like the Phone 3a and Phone 2a series, as they were not viable for consumers in the U.S. due to inadequate carrier compatibility and availability exclusively through Nothing’s online platform.
For the past two years, Nothing has mainly targeted the midrange market, leading to a significant gap since the official U.S. launch of the Phone 2 in 2023. The lack of new offerings left many enthusiastic fans curious about whether the upcoming Phone 3 would support U.S. cellular bands. This question surfaced recently when a user inquired on X (formerly Twitter) regarding U.S. availability beyond the beta channel.
In response to the query, “Is the Nothing Phone 3 coming to the U.S. besides on your beta channel?”, the user noted their positive experience using the Nothing Phone 2 with Verizon and expressed hope for compatibility with the new model as well.
The response from the CEO was affirming: “100%!,” effectively confirming that the Phone 3 will be available for U.S. consumers without the limitations of beta access.

It is essential to point out that some of Nothing’s more budget-friendly options, such as the Nothing Phone 3a Pro, do not support CDMA, making it incompatible with Verizon’s network. Additionally, while they lack AT&T 5G compatibility, 4G functionality remains intact. This incomplete support on two major networks explains why these devices have been launched through the beta program rather than conventional retail channels.
Fortunately, it appears that the Nothing Phone 3 will offer comprehensive support in the U.S. at its anticipated launch later this year.
