Nothing Set to Explore Over-the-Ear Headphones Market
Nothing has already established a diverse lineup of audio accessories, including the Ear, Ear (a), CMF Buds, Ear Stick, and Ear (open). However, the tech company has yet to introduce over-the-ear headphones featuring noise-canceling technology. New developments suggest that this might change in the near future.
Recent rumors indicate that Nothing could be in the process of developing a new pair of headphones, potentially identified by the model B170. This model has reportedly received certification from SGS Fimko, although the listing simply refers to it as a “wireless headphone.” This ambiguity raises questions about whether it’s Nothing’s initial foray into the headphone market or merely another model of earbuds.

The prospect of Nothing releasing effective noise-canceling headphones is certainly appealing, as increased competition in this segment is beneficial for consumers. Back in 2022, Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, shared a variety of fan designs for potential headphone models on social media, hinting at the creative direction the company could take if these headphones are indeed forthcoming.
Should these headphones become a reality, they are likely to be marketed under the name Nothing Head (1), as suggested by Pei earlier. We will keep an eye out for further updates and information regarding this potential launch.
