Nova Scotia RCMP Cease Search for Child Who Went Missing After Falling into Water – Halifax

Authorities in Nova Scotia have decided to halt the search for a child who fell into the water in Cook’s Cove, situated on the eastern coast of the province. A statement from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) indicated that the search came to a stop on Saturday at approximately 5 p.m.

Despite extensive efforts, the search teams have not uncovered any leads suggesting the child was able to exit the water safely or provide any indications of where they might be located. The RCMP has not disclosed specific details regarding the child’s age or gender.

According to reports, the incident occurred while the child was fishing in the company of an adult male and another child. The search operation involved 13 different agencies, including Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association, all coordinating their resources in an attempt to locate the missing child.
