One UI 7 Beta Reveals Hidden Feature ‘Now Brief’ for Galaxy Devices
The latest beta version of One UI 7 for Samsung’s Galaxy S24 introduces an intriguing feature known as Now Brief, which summarizes various aspects of users’ daily lives, including schedules, news updates, and assigned tasks. Although this feature currently seems to be limited to the Galaxy S25 series, indications suggest that it may also be available on older devices from the Galaxy lineup.
A user recently demonstrated the functionality of Now Brief on a Galaxy S24 running the One UI 7 beta, although accessing the feature is not straightforward. The user accomplished this by manipulating the activity launcher, revealing that the capability exists within the system’s code. As reported by SamMobile, this workaround could potentially work with the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and even the Galaxy S10 Plus.
Despite the presence of underlying code for Now Brief across these devices, regular users currently cannot utilize this feature through typical means. However, they can navigate to the settings page for Now Brief and even create a shortcut on their home screens for easier access.
The stable release of One UI 7 is anticipated to become available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 on April 7. Following this rollout, the update will be extended to earlier models, such as the Galaxy S23, in subsequent weeks. Users can look forward to the possibility that once the stable version is officially launched, the Now Brief feature will become operational on these older devices.
