A video from the summit captured the moment Nushrratt greeted PM Modi with folded hands. In a brief but emotional exchange, PM Modi acknowledged her ordeal, stating, “Bahut sankat tha aapke liye… acha hua aapne turant message kar diya.” In response, Nushrratt expressed her heartfelt thanks, saying, “Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.”
Reflecting on her harrowing experience while attending the Haifa International Film Festival in 2023, Nushrratt shared her traumatic journey of being stranded in a conflict zone. After a period of anxiety, she was ultimately brought home safely. At the Rising Bharat Summit, she recounted the profound emotional turmoil she endured during those critical moments.
“It was a situation for which nobody can be truly prepared. No amount of reading can teach you how to respond in such circumstances. Within just 12 hours, I came to understand the meaning of helplessness,” she remarked, pointing out the stark difference between theoretical knowledge and real-life crisis scenarios. “We often perceive ourselves as well-educated and capable individuals, but life can present challenges that render all of that irrelevant,” she added.
Describing the experience as the most challenging period of her life, Nushrratt candidly shared, “Those were the hardest hours of my existence. I faced moments of doubt about whether I would reunite with my family and friends. It was a time filled with overwhelming thoughts and fears, as I believed this could be the end.”
She concluded by extending her gratitude to PM Modi and the Indian authorities for their tireless efforts to ensure the safe return of all stranded citizens.
