Olivia Rodrigo Embraces Change with New Look and Brand Partnership
Olivia Rodrigo has recently transformed her iconic long hair into a fresh, shorter style, signaling a new chapter in her life and career. “I feel like a brand new girl,” she expressed in a phone interview. After sporting long hair during her extensive world tour, she found it challenging to maintain and decided to craft a new look by cutting off the dead ends. “It’s time for new beginnings,” she added, reflecting her eagerness to move forward.
This haircut is more than just a style change; it coincides with her recent announcement as the new ambassador for Lancôme, the renowned French beauty and skincare brand. Rodrigo reminisces about her childhood, recalling how she used to explore her mother’s makeup bag, which often included Lancôme products. “The serum was one of the first things I put on my face, before I really was doing skincare,” she shared, highlighting her long-standing connection with the brand.
In her new role, the 21-year-old artist has a few favorite Lancôme products that she enjoys using. Among them is the L’Absolue Rouge Cream in shade Caprice de Rouge, a vibrant deep red lipstick, and the Idôle Liquid Eyeliner which she used to achieve her signature look during the Guts Tour. For her Lancôme campaign, she combines these products with the Teint Idôle Ultra Wear Foundation in shade 345N. “I know it’s weird, but I’m really excited to take a picture of the campaign in the airport. It will be such a wild moment,” she remarked about the upcoming launch.
It’s been just over three years since Rodrigo first captivated audiences with her hit single “Drivers License”. Since then, she has released two successful studio albums, won three Grammy Awards, and earned the title of Time’s “Entertainer of the Year.” The morning of our conversation, she had just participated in the red carpet event for Netflix’s Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour in Los Angeles. Despite her rapid rise to fame, Rodrigo is dedicated to staying grounded as she continues her journey in the music industry.
