A new 43mm OnePlus Watch 3 has emerged with an FCC listing, indicating that OnePlus is set to introduce a compact version of its smartwatch. This model is anticipated to follow the design and features of the recently announced Oppo Watch X2 Mini, which will also influence its performance and specifications but will feature a smaller 1.32-inch display. It is important to note that potential price increases due to tariffs might affect its market introduction.
OnePlus recently launched the Watch 3 in the U.S. and is quickly moving forward with plans for a smaller version based on the Oppo counterpart.
According to 91Mobiles, an FCC certification for a 43mm OnePlus Watch has been identified under the model number OPWE242. Its dimensions are 48.03 x 43.14mm, making it taller but slimmer compared to the 46.6 x 47.6mm OnePlus Watch 3. The new model will feature a 345mAh battery capacity and includes a rotating crown based on FCC data.
The Oppo Watch X2 Mini, released last week, boasts the same 345mAh battery capacity and offers an expected battery life of around three days. It is equipped with a 1.32-inch AMOLED display featuring a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 2,200 nits of brightness.

The differences between the larger 1.5-inch display and 631mAh capacity of the 47mm Watch 3 and the Oppo Watch X2 Mini are minimal, as both share identical Snapdragon W5 and BES2800 MCU chips, a 2GB/32GB memory configuration, health monitoring features, IP68 water resistance, and quality of display.
It’s reasonable to surmise that the 43mm OnePlus Watch 3 will replicate the specifications of the Watch X2 Mini, although the U.S. version may not include eSIM support.
Details have emerged indicating that the Oppo Watch X2 Mini will be marketed as a rebranded OnePlus Watch 3 Mini in India and other international markets. #OnePlusWatch3Mini April 10, 2025
Leaker Abhishek Yadav (via Techradar) suggested last week that the “Oppo Watch X2 Mini will be introduced as a rebadged OnePlus Watch 3 Mini in India and around the world.”
Recently, OnePlus’s head of R&D for Health, Dr. Leo Zhang, mentioned the development of a smaller OnePlus Watch 3, addressing prior concerns regarding the current model’s weight which can be cumbersome for users with smaller wrists. The swift follow-up with this mini-version was somewhat unexpected.
As reported by GSMArena, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini will have a weight of 37.8 grams sans the 18mm strap, contrasting with the 49.7 grams of the Watch 3, which is designed to accommodate a 22mm strap. This difference in weight is substantial for daily wear.

Currently, it is unclear whether this 43mm variant will bear the name “OnePlus Watch 3 Mini” or if OnePlus plans to model its product line with size options under a unified name, such as “OnePlus Watch 3R,” alluding to the Watch 2R series.
Despite its designation, this model may not truly qualify as “mini” in comparison to competitors like the Galaxy Watch 7 at 40mm and Pixel Watch 3 at 41mm, which are lighter by 7 to 9 grams, likely sacrificing that weight for an additional 40mAh in battery life. The forthcoming OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to last three days based on its Wear OS performance, setting a benchmark for other models.
With a 345mAh capacity, this variant has a diminished battery capacity of 286mAh compared to the larger 47mm Watch 3, which promises five days of usage. If OnePlus can deliver on the promised three days of battery life, it might compel other brands to enhance their offerings.
Ultimately, pricing remains a pivotal point. The Oppo model is expected to retail at approximately CNY 1,799, equating to around $249. However, OnePlus recently escalated the pricing of its Watch 3 from $330 to $500, likely due to tariff concerns—which, regardless of any exemptions for Chinese devices, is a prevalent worry.
Should this new watch see a significant price increase, it may be positioned around $375, which is steep but still competitive against the $350 Pixel Watch 3. A further rise could deter potential customers, despite the device’s capabilities as one of the leading Android smartwatches currently available.
