Anticipation Grows for OnePlus Watch 3 Launch
OnePlus is set to unveil the OnePlus Watch 3 on January 7, coinciding with its global introduction of the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R. While the company has yet to officially comment on this smartwatch, recent rumors suggest that it will come equipped with a unique rotating crown feature.
According to a reliable source, the render of the OnePlus Watch 3, based on a prototype, showcases this innovative design element. In addition to the rotating crown, reports indicate that the smartwatch will be available in two distinct color variations and will include vital health monitoring features such as a heart rate sensor and an electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor, with the latter expected to be offered only in specific regions.
Beyond aesthetics, the OnePlus Watch 3 is rumored to house the powerful Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It is expected to run on Watch OS 5 alongside RTOS, featuring a robust battery that exceeds 500 mAh and potentially offering LTE connectivity for enhanced mobile functionality.
Earlier developments concerning the OnePlus Watch 3 include its TENAA certification obtained in June, revealing a model with a 500 mAh battery and LTE support; however, the design characteristics disclosed earlier seem different from the recently shown renderings.
Furthermore, a recent model called OPWWE251 has also achieved FCC certification, which revealed that it features a larger 648 mAh battery, highlighting OnePlus’s commitment to enhancing battery life in its smartwatch offerings.
