New single released from the upcoming Alice Cooper album ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’
In an exciting development for fans, the original members of Alice Cooper have reunited to announce a new album and a tour. Shortly after this announcement, they unveiled the first single from the upcoming record.
Titled “Black Mamba,” the track begins with an eerie spoken-word introduction, reminiscent of the legendary Vincent Price, establishing Cooper’s return to his theatrical persona. At 77, Cooper dives back into his iconic character with lyrics that highlight both allure and danger: “I’m so beautiful to look at, baby/But so dangerous to touch.” The collaboration features the band’s founding members—guitarist Mike Bruce, drummer Neal Smith, and bassist Dennis Dunaway—who contribute to the song’s classic rock vibe. Additionally, the track includes an electrifying solo from Robby Krieger, the famed guitarist of The Doors.

Fans of the band may recall that Liza Minnelli made a notable guest appearance on that earlier album. Although original guitarist Glen Buxton passed away in 1997, his legacy continues through a previously unreleased guitar part featured in the track “What Happened to You.” Additionally, an alternate version of the 1970 song “Return of the Spiders” will be included as a bonus track on deluxe editions of the new album.
Promoted as a “high-voltage journey into vintage horror and classic ’70s shock rock,” The Revenge of Alice Cooper is characterized by cover art that evokes a horror-movie aesthetic. A co-headlining tour with Judas Priest is scheduled for this fall, promising an exciting live experience for fans.
