Outhouse Trailer: A Heartwarming Family Adventure
Set to be released in theatres on December 20, the upcoming film Outhouse promises to engage audiences with its themes of companionship, connection, and unexpected adventures. This slice-of-life drama marks the return of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore to the big screen after a 14-year hiatus.
The trailer for Outhouse was unveiled on December 5, captivating viewers with a narrative centered on the lives of a caring grandmother, Aadima, played by Tagore, her grandson Neel, portrayed by Jihan Hodar, and a reclusive neighbor named Nana, brought to life by Mohan Agashe. The film’s plot revolves around the heartwarming quest to find Neel’s missing dog, Pablo.
The storyline unfolds as Aadima and Neel navigate their day-to-day life, which is significantly altered when Pablo unexpectedly finds his way to Nana’s home. This twist prompts the duo to embark on an endearing journey, bringing to light notions of innocence and kindness that still exist in the world. Aadima’s reflections throughout this adventure are also creatively chronicled in the form of a graphic story.
Sharmila Tagore expressed her excitement about the film, noting that it serves as a poignant reminder that life can bring unexpected joys at any age. She highlighted the journey shared between Aadima, Neel, and Nana, promising audiences moments filled with laughter, valuable lessons, and heartfelt experiences.
Directed by Sunil Sukthankar and produced by Dr. Mohan Agashe, Outhouse also features a strong supporting cast, including Sonali Kulkarni, Neeraj Kabi, and Sunil Abhayankar, each bringing depth to the unfolding narrative.
Before this film, Tagore was seen in Gulmohar, a family drama that garnered the Best Hindi Film award at the 70th National Film Awards. Notably, her last theatrical release prior to Outhouse was in 2010 with Break Ke Baad, where she shared the screen with prominent actors Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan.
