Last week, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced several vehicle recalls, impacting more than 90,000 General Motors vehicles.
If you’re a vehicle owner wondering about recalls affecting your car, or if your vehicle doesn’t appear on this list, you can check USA TODAY’s automotive recall database or visit NHTSA’s database to find the latest recall information. The NHTSA website also provides a tool to search by your vehicle identification number (VIN).
Here’s a summary of the vehicle recalls issued by the NHTSA between March 10 and March 16.
General Motors Recalls Cadillacs and Camaros
General Motors has issued a recall for specific Cadillac and Chevrolet models that feature a 10-speed transmission.
The recall is due to a potential issue with the transmission control valve, which may experience excessive wear over time. This deterioration could lead to a reduction in pressure within the valve, resulting in harsh gear transitions or even temporary wheel lock-up, as detailed in the recall documentation.
The vehicles affected by this recall include:
– 2019 to 2020 Cadillac CT6
– 2020 to 2021 Cadillac CT4
– 2020 to 2021 Cadillac CT5
– 2020 to 2022 Chevrolet Camaro
Dealers will be installing free software to monitor the transmission control module, with notification letters slated to be sent out to owners by April 21.
Total vehicles affected: 90,081
Range Rovers Recalled Over Seat Belt Concerns
Land Rover has announced a recall for certain 2025 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models due to a defective seat belt issue.
According to the NHTSA, the center seat belt in the second row might not latch properly, stemming from a manufacturing defect.
Dealers will be replacing the faulty seat belt at no cost, with owner notification letters expected to be dispatched by May 2.
Total vehicles affected: 7,276
Ineos Recalls Grenadier Models
Ineos Automotive Americas is recalling certain 2024 Grenadier vehicles due to an issue with the door button mechanism.
The problem arises because the door button mechanism may have been improperly greased during assembly, which could prevent the door from fully latching, according to the NHTSA.
Ineos plans to replace the door button assemblies free of charge, with owner notification letters sent out between March 31 and May 4.
Total vehicles affected: 7,022
