Toyota has announced a recall affecting over 140,000 vehicles from both its Toyota and Lexus brands, as detailed in a company press release issued on Thursday.
Among those recalled are specific models of the Tacoma 4-wheel drive trucks, in addition to certain Toyota Camry and Lexus RX vehicles.
The recall is initiated due to distinct issues; Toyota reported that some Tacoma vehicles may have compromised rear brake hoses, a condition that can arise from an accumulation of mud and dirt in the rear wheels.
In the case of the recalled Camry and Lexus RX vehicles, the second-row center seatbelts may have been potentially damaged during the production process. The automaker has assured that notifications will reach the affected customers by early April 2025.
All necessary replacements associated with these recalls will be provided without any cost to the customers.
