FBI’s Recent Success: Three Arrests from the Ten Most Wanted List Under Trump Administration

The FBI has successfully apprehended its third fugitive from the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list since President Donald Trump assumed office, as confirmed by FBI Director Kash Patel.

In a statement posted on X, Patel attributed the agency’s achievements in capturing some of America’s most elusive criminals to a law enforcement approach that empowers officers to perform effectively. He stated, “When you let good cops be good cops, this is what happens. This administration is giving the new FBI and AG Bondi the resources to get the job done — and we won’t stop.” He also expressed appreciation for the Department of Justice and Attorney General Pam Bondi’s collaboration in these efforts.

Patel’s announcement regarding the latest arrest coincided with the recent custody of alleged MS-13 leader Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales, who was detained in Mexico and is set for extradition to the United States. Prior to his capture, the FBI offered a reward of $250,000 for information leading to his arrest, highlighting his alleged role in orchestrating MS-13 operations across the U.S., Mexico, and El Salvador.

ALLEGED MS-13 LEADER ON FBI MOST WANTED LIST BEING EXTRADITED TO US, PATEL SAYS

“I can now confirm that last night, working with the Justice Department and other interagency partners, the FBI has successfully extradited one of our ‘Ten Most Wanted’ from Mexico — believed to be a key senior leader of MS-13, Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales,” Patel reported.

This recent arrest follows a significant operation in which Mexican authorities extradited over 29 drug cartel figures to the U.S., including the notorious drug lord Rafael Caro Quintero, linked to the gruesome murder of a DEA agent in 1985.

In the broader context of fugitive captures, Patel credited the Trump administration’s proactive strategies in enabling law enforcement to effectively pursue and capture some of the most wanted criminals. “This administration is focused on giving law enforcement the tools and support they need to succeed,” he emphasized.

The initial arrest link to the Trump administration’s efforts occurred in Florida in January, when Lady Lake Police Sgt. Michelle Bilbrey apprehended 60-year-old Donald Eugene Fields II during a routine traffic stop. Fields was wanted on serious federal charges of child sex trafficking, as well as state charges of child rape.
