Patti LuPone and Joe Locke, who star together in “Agatha All Along,” share a strong friendship beyond their professional collaboration. During a recent interview at the Film Independent Spirit Awards, they discussed their aspirations to work on a musical together.
When asked about which musical he would like to perform alongside LuPone, Locke enthusiastically replied with “anything.” He expressed a desire for an original piece, saying, “Write me and Patti LuPone a musical and we’ll do it.”
In response, LuPone seemed less eager, initially stating “I don’t want to do anymore musicals.” However, she clarified that she would make an exception for a project with Locke: “But if they proposed a musical with Joe, I’d do a musical with Joe. Five shows a week, all evening performances.”
