Paul Heyman Set to Roast WWE Stars at WrestleMania Weekend
LAS VEGAS – Pro wrestling icon Paul Heyman is slated to join a lineup of entertainers for the Roast of WrestleMania on Sunday night at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. This event will follow the conclusion of the second night of WrestleMania, which promises to be an exhilarating experience for fans.
Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, known for leading “Kill Tony,” will host the evening, bringing together a mix of WWE superstars and comedians, including notable figures like Sami Zayn, The Miz, and Braun Strowman, for a night filled with humorous jabs and entertaining exchanges.

Having gained experience in front of the mic as a wrestling manager, Heyman is approaching the roast with a blend of anticipation and confidence. He described the upcoming event as an unpredictable affair, issuing a friendly warning to the comedians participating.
“That does not bode well for Tony Hinchcliffe and his gaggle of comedians that will be up there on the stage,” Heyman remarked. “I understand that I am the master of the mic in WWE and since everyone loves a shootout at the OK Corral. If someone is looking to build a reputation, I’m the guy they want to build a reputation on.”
Reflecting on his career, Heyman drew a parallel between this roast and the competitive landscape of WWE during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He mentioned grappling with wrestling stars like Kurt Angle, who clinched an Olympic gold medal in 1996, and Brock Lesnar, a former NCAA champion and UFC heavyweight champion.
CELEBRITIES AND ATHLETES YOU DIDN’T KNOW APPEARED AT WRESTLEMANIA
Heyman emphasized that during his time, few dared to challenge these elite athletes. “So, the joke was, ‘Go ahead and try.’ And there was always somebody (who thought), ‘Hmm,’ for a moment, was tempted, until intelligence got the better of them,” he explained. His comments suggest that even though comedians are known for their quick wit, they might find the roast more difficult than anticipated against a seasoned performer like him.
“Who knows with these comedians. There may be one of them that sits there and decides to test what Paul Heyman can do in our venue, on our stage, in our house with our audience. And, if and when that happens, they’re gonna learn that my mic skills are not just limited to WWE/pro wrestling/sports entertainment,” he added.
