The comedian Pete Davidson is making headlines for a significant transformation: he is in the process of removing nearly 200 tattoos from his body.
During a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon, Davidson shared insights into the tattoo removal process. He candidly described it as an agonizing experience, stating, “It’s horrible.” When asked about the details, Davidson explained that the procedure involves burning off layers of skin, followed by a healing period of six to eight weeks, during which exposure to sunlight is strictly prohibited. He humorously warned viewers to reconsider impulsively getting tattoos, referencing the many fans of “Game of Thrones.”
Reflecting on his past impulsive decisions, Davidson admitted that he frequently got tattoos without much thought. “I was a sad boy,” he recalled, recalling the influence of trends in tattoo culture five years ago, particularly mentioning Post Malone, whose seemingly fatigued persona resonated with him. Davidson has made the decision to retain only “two or three” of his tattoos while aiming to start fresh and approach adulthood with a clean slate.
In addition to his personal changes, Davidson provided an update regarding a unique investment he made with fellow “Saturday Night Live” cast member Colin Jost. The pair acquired the Staten Island Ferry and have ambitious plans for its development, envisioning a venue complete with a hotel, movie theater, and shopping area. Davidson noted that while some might assume the project is stalled after two years, they are diligently working on it, jokingly asking for patience considering the substantial investment. He also extended an invitation for party rentals on the ferry in the meantime.
