Manhunt Underway in Philadelphia After Road Rage Shooting
A manhunt is currently in progress for a driver who allegedly shot a 15-year-old boy and a 20-year-old woman in West Philadelphia, as reported by local authorities.
The incident, which occurred just after 7 p.m. on Monday, was the result of a road rage altercation at the intersection of 42nd and Girard Avenue, according to the Philadelphia police department.
Details of the Shooting
Law enforcement officials revealed that the suspect was a bearded Black man in his 40s, who was identified through multiple surveillance cameras in the area prior to his escape.
Video footage shared by the police depicts the suspect seemingly tailing a vehicle, with his head protruding from the car window, indicating an aggressive confrontation.
As the situation escalated, the suspect reportedly fired shots, injuring the teenager in the arm and barely grazing the woman in the chest. They were subsequently transported to nearby hospitals, where they are reported to be in stable condition.
The police noted that the suspect’s vehicle, a silver 2016-2017 Honda Civic, exhibited several distinguishing features, including damage on the passenger side, a missing front hubcap, and a white vanity tag affixed to the front bumper.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident to come forward, as they continue their search for justice in this unsettling road rage case.
