Vitaly, a streamer on Kick, has reportedly acknowledged his actions that led to his arrest in the Philippines, according to statements made by a government official.
The Russian streamer, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, found himself in legal trouble earlier this month after his disruptive behavior in the Philippines, which he claimed was for content creation purposes.
Zdorovetskiy was recorded engaging in questionable acts, including making advances toward a security guard, attempting to take a weapon, and harassing local residents, among other offenses.
Despite his situation, authorities have indicated that rather than deporting him, Zdorovetskiy will face a trial within the Philippines. This decision poses significant challenges for him as he navigates the legal system.
Vitaly has reportedly already confessed as he awaits trial
While awaiting trial, Zdorovetskiy has allegedly confessed to his transgressions during an inquest, suggesting that he is aware of the gravity of his actions.
Donnie Puno, Undersecretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government, spoke on national television, emphasizing that content creation of the kind exhibited by Zdorovetskiy is completely unacceptable in the Philippines, confirming that the streamer has admitted to the various charges against him.

“During the inquest, he confessed to these actions,” Puno stated. “He did so in the presence of his legal counsel. Consequently, he will stand trial here and accept the repercussions of his actions.”
Legal expert and YouTuber, known as Legal Mindset, weighed in on the situation, suggesting that Zdorovetskiy’s legal options are severely limited.
“The legal term for his predicament is essentially ‘cooked,’ which is how the younger generation would phrase it in court,” he quipped. “His defense team is in a tough spot with not many avenues available.”

Puno further highlighted that any defense claiming the streaming antics were merely for clicks and online fame is unlikely to be effective in court.
“He attempted to create content at the expense of Filipinos, effectively making them look foolish,” he remarked. “Now, we await the trial’s outcome.”
Zdorovetskiy has reportedly shown little remorse for his actions, with the government indicating they will be vigilant in preventing similar behaviors by other content creators. Discussions are underway regarding the potential regulation of streaming platforms operating in the Philippines.
The ongoing controversy surrounding Vitaly has generated significant discussion in the Philippines. The situation has even attracted commentary from the nation’s president, who expressed outrage over Zdorovetskiy’s streams, describing them as infuriating.
As Zdorovetskiy awaits his trial, he is currently facing overcrowded conditions in a facility, indicating delays in the judicial process due to a backlog of cases.
