Artist’s Fancy That EP set for release next month
Following the release of “Tonight,” the lead single from her upcoming mixtape Fancy That, scheduled for May 9, PinkPantheress continues to exude her catchy bubblegum pop vibes with a new track titled “Stateside.” The song features a playful homage to Estelle’s hit “American Boy,” where the British artist flirts, “maybe you can be my American hot, hot, hot boy,” enhanced with a sultry undertone.
Accompanied by an engaging bass line, the narrative unfolds as she navigates the excitement of an almost dreamlike international romance. She muses, “You’re nice, so I’ll stay/Never met a British girl, you say?/No one treats me this way/Are all boys out here the same?” PinkPantheress takes charge of the production, showcasing her creative control over the entire Fancy That project, with contributions from Dare, Aksel Arvid, and Count Baldor.
PinkPantheress expressed her enthusiasm about the new track, stating, “[I’m] so excited to share with you my favorite song off of the project, ‘Stateside.’ It explores my growth as an artist and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as me.”
