Fans of Playboi Carti will have to exercise a bit more patience as the release of his much-anticipated album I AM MUSIC has been delayed. Originally set to drop at midnight EST, the new release time has been pushed to 3 a.m. EST.
The announcement came from Carti himself on social media, where he explained that the delay was due to the need for Young Thug to submit his contribution to the album. “HAD TO WAIT 4 THUG 2 SEND HIS VERSE,” wrote Carti, clarifying that the prominent Atlanta rapper will have a feature on the project.
In his announcement, Carti also unveiled what appears to be the confirmed list of guest artists on I AM MUSIC. The lineup includes a remarkable array of talent, featuring Travis Scott, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, The Weeknd, Skepta, Young Thug, Ty Dolla Sign, and an unidentified artist whose name has been obscured. At this moment, the final confirmation of the tracklist remains pending.

DJ Akademiks has shared that he got an early listen to the album and is already proclaiming it a “day one classic.” He hinted at the talents included in the list of collaborators, adding excitement around the project. “CARTI got Pluto slime Uzi Trav Weeknd floating on dat bih,” he posted on X.
