Pope Francis continues to recuperate in the hospital, as reported by the Vatican’s press office. The latest update confirms that the pontiff experienced a tranquil night on Saturday.
In a statement released on Sunday morning, the Holy See shared that “the night was quiet, the pope is resting.”

Church officials indicated that the 88-year-old leader, who has been at the helm of the Catholic Church since 2013, has shown a positive response to the ongoing treatment he is receiving.

Despite these initial signs of improvement, the Vatican cautioned that the medical team remains prudent, describing the prognosis as still guarded as they monitor the situation closely.
Pope Francis was initially admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on February 14, where he was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, a condition that requires careful management due to his age.
